The short answer
Both are 19-nortestosterone derivatives and both are progestogenic, which is why they get discussed together. Beyond that they diverge sharply. Trenbolone binds the androgen receptor far more strongly and does not aromatise at all. Nandrolone aromatises weakly and is much the milder of the two. Sharing a structural family does not make them interchangeable.
